University of Virginia Shooting Leaves 3 Dead, Suspect is in Custody
The deceased victims have been identified as Devin Chandler, Lavel Davis Jr., and D'sean Perry.
A University of Virginia student suspected of shooting three people to death and wounding two others is in custody. The suspect is Christopher Darnell Jones, a former football player for UVA in 2018. The shooting happened late last night on the school’s main campus in Charlottesville. Students and others on campus were on lockdown but, that was lifted this morning after authorities conducted a search on and around the grounds. Classes are canceled for the day. Plus, Charlottesville city schools also canceled its classes and city government offices are also closed. The deceased victims have been identified as Devin Chandler, Lavel Davis Jr., and D’sean Perry. The two other injured are students and are currently being treated.
