Missiles Strike Kyiv During Meeting With UN Secretary-General

Kyiv was targeted by five missiles yesterday. The attacks happened as the United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres was finishing a visit at the capital. The Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said “During the meeting in Kyiv, we heard explosions. Russia launched a missile strike on the capital. I am sure that such defiant behavior of the occupier will be assessed properly by the UN Secretary-general.” Also yesterday, Guterres urged for an evacuation corridor to open in Mariupol saying that the city is a ‘crisis within a crisis.’ Security was also strengthened at the nation’s border with Transnistria according to a Ukrainian military spokesperson.
