Teen Dies After Falling from Orlando Amusement Park Ride
The ride takes guests up four-hundred feet and then sends them plummeting at seventy-miles-an-hour.
A 14 year old boy has died after suffering a fall at an Orlando, Florida theme park. The Orange County Sheriff’s Office was called to Icon Park after the teen fell from the Free Fall ride last night around 11:00pm. The ride takes guests up four-hundred feet and then sends them plummeting at seventy-miles-an-hour. Deputies say the boy died of his injuries at an area hospital. The victim’s name has not been released but, Director of Sales and Marketing for the Slingshot Group of Companies, the owner and operator of the ride said “Our hearts go out to the family of this young man and that’s all we can say at this time.” The director added that the boy was secured in a safety harness at the time of the incident.
