Man’s Charges Updated to Include Murder After Shooting Victim Dies
A man who was arrested in connection to a Myrtle Beach shooting on Ocean Boulevard has now been charged with murder after the victim died. 37 year old Lashawn Jarrett of Monroe, North Carolina is charged with murder, first-degree assault and battery, discharging a firearm into a vehicle, possession of a weapon during a violent crime and simple possession of marijuana. 38 year old Rhonda Harris of Lancaster died Friday at a hospital. She was hospitalized on March 1st after the shooting near the “Yachtsman Resort” according to Horry County Deputy Coroner Michelle McSpadden. The shooting is under investigation by the Myrtle Beach Police Department and is being ruled a homicide.
