Coastal Giving Tuesday returns on Tuesday, December 1, 2026, bringing together nonprofit organizations, donors, businesses and community partners across Horry, Georgetown and Williamsburg counties for a regional day dedicated to supporting the organizations that serve our communities every day.

For 2026, Waccamaw Community Foundation has stepped in as the presenting sponsor of Coastal Giving Tuesday, significantly expanding the initiative’s reach, visibility and resources for participating nonprofits.

Coastal Giving Tuesday was launched in 2023 to bring local nonprofit organizations together around the global Giving Tuesday movement. In just three years, the initiative has experienced significant growth:

– 2023: 10 participating organizations raised $254,000
– 2024: Participating organizations raised $374,000
– 2025: The initiative expanded to an open-invitation model and raised $589,000

Now, with Waccamaw Community Foundation’s expanded involvement, Coastal Giving Tuesday is growing across a three-county region and creating new opportunities for nonprofits of all sizes to reach potential donors. Participation in Coastal Giving Tuesday is completely free for nonprofit organizations.

On December 1, donors can visit CoastalGivingTuesday.org to explore participating nonprofit organizations, learn about their missions and choose where they want their gifts to make a difference.

Giving will be open from 12:00 a.m. through 11:59 p.m. EST.
