Two Juveniles Cited, One At Large In Connection To Stolen Car

Officers found three juvenile occupants prompting them to flee on foot, leaving the vehicle in drive. The vehicle then rolled into a park red Dodge Ram 1500.

Two juveniles were cited following a foot chase in Georgetown County.

On Thursday morning, a Kia Soul was reported stolen from Cottonwood Street in Andrews. The vehicle’s tracking system later pinged near Dogwood Street, which deputies responded.

Upon arrival, officers found three juvenile occupants prompting them to flee on foot, leaving the vehicle in drive. The vehicle then rolled into a park red Dodge Ram 1500.

Deputies pursued the suspects and were able to detained two of them. One of the juveniles was wearing an ankle monitor from the Department of Juvenile Justice.

That juvenile was cited for receiving stolen goods valued between $2,000 and $5,000. The second was cited with hindering. Both were released to their parents.

The third suspect remains at large. An investigation remains underway and anyone with information is asked to contact Georgetown County authorities.
