Man Extradited To Marlboro Co. In Connection To Shooting Of Minor

Ahmad Manning is facing charges of attempted murder and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime.

One man has been extradited from Washington, D.C. to Marlboro County in connection to the shooting of a minor.

On March 6, a 13-year-old boy was shot while riding his bicycle on Main Street in Clio. He was taken to a hospital but his current condition is unclear.

An extensive investigation led police to identify Ahmad Manning as the suspect. He was arrested on May 18 was returned to the county Wednesday.

Manning is facing charges of attempted murder and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime.

Manning will remain at the Marlboro County Detention Center pending a bond hearing. The investigation remains underway and anyone with information should contact Clio authorities.
