The accident happened shortly before 8am Monday in the area of Cherry Hill Road and Daisy Road in Loris.

Five people were transported to a hospital to be treated but their current conditions are unclear.

Lanes of traffic were blocked off as Horry County Fire Rescue crews worked the scene.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
