Additional Details Released Following Fatal Boat Crash On Waccamaw River
One vessel was reportedly traveling south on the water way while another was heading north when they collided.
Additional details regarding a fatal boat crash in Horry County have been released.
The accident occurred around 5:30pm on Friday along the Waccamaw River near Jackson Bluff Road in the Conway area.

19-year-old Canon Burkett was taken to a hospital where he later died. He was operating one of the boats with an 18-year-old female also on-board. She was taken to the hospital with serious injuries but her current condition is unknown.
On the other boat, a 22-year-old man and a 20-year-old woman were on-board and treated at the scene.
The South Carolina Department of Natural Resources were on the scene with dive teams working to recover one of the vessels from the water. Further details are limited.
