Man Arrested After Allegedly Attacking Victim With Metal Baseball Bat
The victim's injuries consisted of multiple orbital fractures that required surgery, as well as several lacerations that required stitches.
One man is facing charges after an alleged assault.
The situation unfolded on April 22 along Flagg Street in Myrtle Beach. A victim reported that 41-year-old Jamon Canty allegedly attacked him with what appeared to have been a metal baseball bat. The victim was struck multiple times in the face, head, and body.
The victim and Canty reportedly knew each other well. The victim’s injuries consisted of multiple orbital fractures that required surgery, as well as several lacerations that required stitches, and scrapes and bruises.
Canty was arrested earlier this week and at the time, he was in possession of drugs and three weapons. He was charged with assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature as well as several firearm and drug related offenses.
