One Person Injured In Crash Involving Overturned Vehicle

HCFR crews were called to the intersection of N. Nichols Highway and Silver Sand Lane.

One person was injured in a crash in Horry County.

The accident happened around 7:18pm on Saturday. Horry County Fire Rescue crews were called to the intersection of N. Nichols Highway and Silver Sand Lane.

Officials had to conduct extrication operations as there was an overturned vehicle with an occupant trapped inside. One person was taken to a hospital to be treated for critical injuries.

Lanes of the highway were blocked off to traffic as crews worked the scene. The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
