North Myrtle Beach Selects Next Fire Chief

The move comes after current chief, Billy Floyd, announced his retirement.

The city of North Myrtle Beach has appointed its next fire chief.

John Galganski will take on the role becoming the city’s eighth fire chief effective on May 16.

The move comes after current chief, Billy Floyd, announced his retirement. His final day of service will be on May 15.

Galganski said it’s an honor and he expressed how grateful he is for the trust placed in him. He added that it’s a privilege to lead such a “dedicated and professional team.”
