Generators Sold At Costco Recalled Due To Risk Of Fire Or Explosion

The generators were sold at Costco locations nationwide from May of 2025 to February of 2026.

Generac Power Systems has issued a recall on certain portable generators.

The recall covers Generac GP9200E gas generators. It was placed due to the generator’s carburetor, which may leak fuel when the unit is first filled with gasoline, creating a risk of fire or explosion.

The generators were sold at Costco locations nationwide from May of 2025 to February of 2026. Customers are urged to stop use immediately. You could arrange a free repair through an authorized dealer, or return the product to Costco for a full refund.
