A Fourth Defendant In Georgia’s Election Interference Case Pleads Guilty
This marks the fourth guilty plea in the case confirming three total high-profile people have agreed to accept responsibility for their roles.
A fourth defendant in Georgia’s case alleging efforts to overturn Donald Trump’s 2020 election loss, has pleaded guilty.
Attorney and prominent conservative media figure Jenna Ellis was a vocal part of Trump’s reelection campaign and was charged alongside the former president and 17 others with violating the state’s anti-racketeering law.
Ellis pleaded guilty to one felony count of aiding and abetting false statements and writings. The guilty plea is part of a deal she made with prosecutors and now confirms three total high-profile people in the case have agreed to accept responsibility for their roles rather than take their chances before a jury. A lower-profile defendant also pleaded guilty last month.
