Trump Pleads Not Guilty In Georgia Election Case
This arraignment marks the fourth time trump has pleaded not guilty to criminal charges since being out of office.
Donald Trump has pleaded not guilty in the Fulton County election interference case.
The former president had been scheduled to be arraigned in person next week. However, under Georgia law, criminal defendants are allowed to waive their in-person appearance and enter a formal plea through court filings.
In addition to his plea, Trump formally requested for the judge to separate his case from his co-defendants who want a speedy trial. His attorneys say he will not have the appropriate time to prepare his case for trial by October and enforcing that trial date would violate his federal and state constitutional rights.
