Donald Trump Will Not Be Participating In The 2nd GOP Primary Debate
The trip will include a prime time speech in front of over 500 current and former union members. In the speech, he will broadly cast himself on the side of the auto workers.
Donald Trump announced plans to skip yet another Republican primary debate.
Instead, the former president is planning to travel to Detroit on September 27th, the day of the 2nd GOP debate with intentions to inject himself into the labor dispute between striking auto workers and the nation’s big three auto manufacturers.
The trip will include a prime time speech in front of over 500 current and former union members. In the speech, he will broadly cast himself on the side of the auto workers.
This comes as UAW union members are striking against GM, Ford and Stellantis at the same time, for the first time in history.
While Trump is in Detroit, the other GOP hopefuls will be on the debate stage in California at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Museum.
