Trump’s Interview With Tucker Carlson Released Same Time As GOP Debate
It is unclear how many debates Trump plans on sitting out of and if this kind of counter programming interview will be reoccurring or not.
While Donald Trump did not attend the first debate despite his eligibility, he was still in the spotlight as a pre taped interview with Tucker Carlson was aired just as the debate began.
The interview was released on Carlson’s ‘X’ account and is 46-minutes long.
Trump wasted no time attacking other Republican candidates throughout the interview. The former president stated that Asa Hutchinson should not even be running and Chris Christie runs ‘solely on the basis’ of going after him. Trump also added that he was disappointed in Mike Pence for running in the first place.
In the interview, Trump cited his indisputable front-runner status in the Republican race despite facing 91 criminal charges for which he maintains innocence.
