Champion Autism Network Hosting Annual Meatball Challenge and State Park Event
The 5th Annual Meatball Challenge is coming up as well as a Sensory Friendly Event at Myrtle Beach State Park.

Sensory Friendly Family Fun Day – On Saturday Sept. 23rd, the Myrtle Beach State Park is offering families a discounted park admission of $8 per car.
*9:30am-10:15am – Catch of the Day – Drop in anytime between 9:30-10:15am at the end of the fishing pier
Find out what creatures are lurking around the fishing pier as local anglers show off their catch. Fish, sharks, jellyfish and stingrays, you never know what we might see. The creatures in our saltwater pool will change as new critters are caught and who knows what they might be! Participants will have the opportunity get their hands wet as they touch marine creatures in the pool.

*10:45-11:15 am – Live Creatures – Drop in between 10:45-11:15am at the nature center
Enjoy meeting and touching some live creatures from both the forest and the ocean. Also, gather at Shelter B-3 for games, crafts and lunch. Please bring your own sack lunch!

5th Annual Best of the Beach Balls Meatball Challenge – Do you make the best meatballs? Become a competitor!
This event will be held on Oct. 28th from 11:00am to 2:00pm at the Yaupon Parking Lot on Surfside Dr.
Along with the Halloween Car Show, Local restaurants, food trucks, caterers and home chefs will enter their meatballs to compete for Best Beach Balls.
Awards will be given for People’s Choice and Judge’s Choice! Plus, there will be games and activities for the children.
Tickets are available the day of the event for tasting – AYCE Bracelets: $20. One taste per visit to each competitor. Individual tickets are $2 each. 1 ticket gets you one sample.
Soda and water will be available.
