Carowinds’ Fury 325 Roller Coaster Reopens

The ride has since been repaired, underwent many tests and passed inspections before it was given the green light to resume operations.

Carowinds’ largest roller coaster has now reopened.

The Fury 325 was shut down in June after a park guest captured a crack in one of its support beams on video.

The ride has since been repaired, underwent many tests and passed inspections before it was given the green light to resume operations.

The cause of the initial fracture has not yet been released but due to the ride’s structural failure, Carowinds is changing how it inspects rides daily, including using drone cameras to examine hard-to-reach areas.

The Fury 325 ride is one of the world’s tallest and most popular roller coasters.
