‘Fury 325’ Roller Coaster At Carowinds Shut Down Due To Crack In Structure
The amusement park shared safety is their top priority and the ride will be shut down indefinitely until further investigation and construction can be conducted.
On Monday, the Department of Labor’s Elevator and Amusement Device Bureau will be at Carowinds to inspect the park’s ‘Fury 325’ ride.
The roller coaster was immediately shut down after a visitor of the park noticed a crack at the top of one of its steel support pillars.
The ‘Fury 325’ is the tallest, fastest, longest giga coaster in North America. The highest peak is 325 feet, it reaches 95 miles-per-hour and is 1.25 miles long.
Carowinds shared that all rides undergo daily inspections to ensure their proper functioning and structural integrity.
