Barbie is making history after raking-in more than one billion dollars at the box office. The movie has only been out three weeks, but Warner Brothers says writer-director Greta Gerwig’s blockbuster has brought in an astounding $1.03 billion at theaters around the world. Gerwig is now the first solo female director to join the billion-dollar club. The record for the highest-grossing film solely directed by a woman was previously held by Patty Jenkins with Wonder Woman at $821.8 million.
