Why You Should Wash Your Pillowcases Way More Often

Dermatology experts say they should be changed or washed at least more than once a week.

You might want to throw your pillowcases in the wash more often. They could contain more bacteria than the average toilet seat! A new report by mattress company Amerisleep says not washing your pillowcase for just a week could bring in about three million bacteria. That’s roughly 17-thousand times more than on the average toilet seat. Dead skin cells, sweat, and makeup from the day go all over your sheets and pillowcases…which attracts dust mites…and helps them grow. Dermatology experts say they should be changed or washed at least more than once a week.
