An online article has addressed this with dermatologists weighing in and the video is partially correct. The rays do penetrate deeper at higher altitudes. Thankfully though windows on planes and (even our cars these days) block most of the UVB waves that cause sunburn, but dont fully block the UVA rays that are cause the premature aging and skin cancer. So, here’s the takeaway, wear a sunscreen, and if you fly frequently, perhaps close the window shade.
