Suspect Accused Of Leaking Classified Information Now Indicted

The Justice Department indicted him on six counts of willful retention and transmission of classified information related to National defense.

The Air National Guardsman accused of posting an abundance of classified documents to social media has been formally indicted.

Jack Taixeira was a junior enlisted airman who worked within the Massachusetts Air National Guard’s 102nd Intelligence Wing. He was arrested in April and charged under the Espionage Act.

Taixeira allegedly stole classified information from Otis Air National Guard Base and posted it to a popular social media platform among gamers.

On Thursday, the Justice Department indicted him on six counts of willful retention and transmission of classified information related to National defense.
