The study finds eating five pieces of fruit and vegetables daily can be as good for your health as taking four-thousand steps. Scientists measured the oxygen levels of more than 23-hundred participants who had to run and walk on a treadmill. The participants also answered questions about their food habits over the past year. The researchers found when people followed the mediterranean diet, which is comprised of fruits and vegetables, their fitness level equaled taking four thousand steps every day.
