Second CCU Football Player Arrested In A Week

The player was arrested by campus police and charged with carrying a weapon on school property.

A Coastal Carolina University football player was arrested.

20-year-old, Troy Dela Vega, was arrested by campus police and charged with carrying a weapon on school property.

On March 23rd, Dela Vega admitted to police in a recorded interview that he was carrying a 9 millimeter handgun on campus on March 19th.

The Chanticleer team member was released from the J. Reuben Long Detention Center on a $2,500 bond after being booked there on Tuesday.

Dela Vega has been suspended indefinitely from all football related activities.

This is the second CCU football player that was arrested this week.
