Brass at the Beach is Coming to the Grand Strand

Music and movement mesh in exciting style at Myrtle Beach’s Doug Shaw Stadium - Tuesday July 28 at 7 P-M

Six World Class groups will once again perform in Myrtle Beach as part of Drum Corps
International’s 2026 summer tour. New to the lineup this year is perennial DCI finalist Blue Stars
from LaCrosse, Wisconsin. They’ll join former DCI World Champion Carolina Crown, Spirit of
Atlanta, Crossmen from Texas, Arizona’s Academy and Music City from Nashville.

“These corps are the best of the best when it comes to marching music,” says Horry County
Schools Fine Arts Director Charles Dumas. “Not only is it great entertainment but it’s a motivating learning experience for our local band students. And we’re excited about the new partnership with Carolina Crown, right here in our home state.”

Fort Mill, SC based Carolina Crown has hosted one of the biggest shows in the country for more than 30 years. “They’ve got it down to art,” says DCI Hall of Fame member and local resident Steve Rondinaro. “Having the Crown team come in and help us build our show here is great. We envisioned Brass at the Beach becoming a destination stop for corps and fans alike when we started in 2024. And now it’s happening!” Rondinaro will again be the show announcer for Brass at the Beach.

Several corps took advantage of a free day here before the show in 2025 and hit the beach. It
was a great break in an intense summer tour for the young performers. The 2026 stop promises
more of the same, giving them a chance to see Horry County and Myrtle Beach from something
other than a bus window or stadium parking lot.

Tuesday July 28th at 7 P-M – Tickets are on sale for Brass at the Beach!
Tickets will also be available at the gate on the day of the show.
