Diet Soda Could Be the Culprit of Weight Gain

Everyone seems to be watching their sugar these days and we all know sodas can be full of it. If you’ve starting consuming the diet colas as a healthier choice…you might not be doing yourself any favors. In a nine year study of older adults those who drank at least one diet soda a day had triple the increase in waist size. Researchers from the University of Texas say it’s a dose response. The more you drink, the more weight you put on. Chemicals in the drink makes us produce more insulin, confuses our taste buds and metabolic process, and could give us the false perception we can eat more. Instead, they suggest swapping the chemical for unsweetened tea or sparkling water.
