14th Annual Shuckin’ on the Strand Oyster Roast to be Held in Murrells Inlet

Saturday, Feb. 18, 2023, from Noon to 4 p.m. at the Hot Fish Club.

Enjoy all-you-can-eat, freshly steamed oysters, chicken bog and live music at the 14th annual Shuckin’ on the Strand Oyster Roast. This year’s event will take place on Saturday, Feb. 18, 2023, from Noon to 4 p.m. at the Hot Fish Club at 4911 Highway 17 Business in Murrells Inlet, S.C.

Hosted by Grand Strand Young Professionals (GSYP) and sponsored by Grand Strand Health, the oyster roast is a fundraiser for Substitutes for Santa, which provides 150 Horry County students with holiday gifts and festive entertainment.

“Shuckin’ on the Strand has become a very popular event for Grand Stranders and visitors. The food and music are great, but the best part is the fact that all proceeds go toward creating a memorable Christmas experience for kids in our area,” said Caroline Yahnis, GSYP liaison for the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce.

A limited number of tickets will go on sale in January for $35, which includes admission, all-you-can-eat oysters, one plate of chicken bog and fixings, and two drinks. Children ages 8 and under and chicken bog only tickets are $10. A commemorative oyster shucker is available for $5.
