Man Wanted in Connection to Socastee Shooting is in Custody

18-year-old Devin Johnson has been charged with murder, attempted murder, malicious injury to personal property and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

A man wanted in connection to a deadly Socastee area shooting is now in custody. 18-year-old Devin Johnson has been charged with murder, attempted murder, malicious injury to personal property and possession of a weapon during a violent crime for the incident that took place on September 22nd at a car wash on Bay Road near Highway 707. The victim, 21-year-old Tyshawn Smalls of Myrtle Beach, was taken to Grand Strand Medical Center where he died. Witnesses reported seeing two sedans in the parking lot of the car wash before hearing gunshots.
