Veterans to Be Given Free Passes for Life to National Parks

Veterans can now gain a free lifetime entrance to National Parks pass.

Today is Veterans Day and National Parks are honoring the holiday. Veterans Day is a free entry day for all visitors to America’s National Parks. This year, a new option has become available. Veterans can now gain a free lifetime entrance to National Parks pass. The pass is an expansion on the annual free pass for currently serving troops and their families. It grants free access to nearly two thousand parks and lands managed by the National Park Service, US Fish and Wildlife Service, US Forest Service, Bureau of Land Management, and the US Army Corps of Engineers. To obtain a pass, veterans can display a department of defense ID card, veteran health ID, veteran ID card, or a state-issued U.S. driver’s license or ID card with a veteran’s designation at participating locations. The deal is also good for gold star families as well.
