Cut the gluten out of any salad using a recipe famous in Western Pennsylvania- the Pittsburgh Grilled Chicken Salad!

Brief History Lesson: The Pittsburgh Salad first appeared on menus in Pennsylvania in the early 1960s in both Steak and Grilled Chicken options. The French Fries add warmth, texture and saltiness to the salad and balance out the healthiness. In the Burgh’ it’s not referred to as a “Pittsburgh Salad” but often on menus as a “Steak Salad” or “Chicken Salad”. Even if you’re not in the Steel City you may have seen them on the menu especially at the local Steelers bars here in the Grand Strand.
