“Murder, She Wrote” star Angela Lansbury has Died

She was 96 years old but only five days away from her 97th birthday.

Angela Lansbury died peacefully in her sleep yesterday morning. She was 96 years old but only five days away from her 97th birthday. Lansbury is best known for solving crimes as Jessica Fletcher on the drama “Murder, She Wrote”.  The show was on for 12 seasons, and she was nominated for an Emmy for it every year. She won five Tonys, and got an honorary Oscar in 2013. The other thing Angela will be remembered for is being the voice of Mrs. Potts in Disney’s original, fully-animated “Beauty and the Beast”. She is survived by three children, three grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
