Two Myrtle Beach Men Face Drug Charges after Traffic Stop

The men were booked into the Brunswick County Detention Center.

Two Myrtle Beach men are facing dozens of drug charges after police pulled them over in North Carolina. 42-year-old Hassan Benhamedane and 38-year-old Andrew Morton were pulled over Friday in Brunswick County on Highway 17. During that stop, the Brunswick County Vice and Narcotics unit seized methamphetamine, heroin, cocaine, marijuana, fentanyl, and other substances. The men were booked into the Brunswick County Detention Center. A search warrant of Benhamedane’s home on Old Bryan Road in Myrtle Beach turned up more of the same but 200 times the amount of marijuana and 10 times more fentanyl. Police also seized $5,000 in cash.
