Search Continues for Escaped Alabama Inmate and Corrections Officer, Warrant Issued

Authorities in the state are now offering a 10-thousand dollar reward for information leading to their capture.

The search continues for an escaped Alabama inmate and a corrections officer who officials now believe is behind the breakout. Missing inmate Casey White and unrelated corrections officer Vicki White left a detention center in Lauderdale County on Friday and officials say their whereabouts are still unknown at this time. Authorities in the state are now offering a 10-thousand dollar reward for information leading to their capture. Officials say the prison officer claimed she was not feeling well and was going to seek medical attention after transporting the inmate to a mental health evaluation, but, no evaluation was scheduled that day. White’s vehicle was found several hours later in a parking lot and police are now confident she played a role in the escape. Casey White had been jailed on capital murder charges. The two are believed to be armed and dangerous.
