Family Visiting North Myrtle Beach Pelted With Eggs

Police are investigating after a family visiting North Myrtle Beach was pelted with eggs while riding on a golf cart this past Sunday. Police say the incident happened near Nixon Street and 20th Avenue North in the Cherry Grove Area. The Petras family was in town for their sons sports tournament and were driving a golf cart to get some ice cream, as they were heading back to where they were staying, police say people in a silver or gray SUV threw eggs at them, hitting both father and son in the face, they also had their 5 month old grandchild with them but the baby was not hit. The family said a cyclist was also hit during the incident. Authorities are investigating.
