Georgetown Family Accused of Sending Drugs to Georgetown County Detention Center
A family from Georgetown which includes a murder suspect has been accused of sending drugs to the Georgetown County Detention Center that were disguised as legal mailings. According to the Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office 25 year old Joshua Leday was charged with criminal conspiracy, possession of contraband, possession with intent to distribute Fentanyl, possession with intent to distribute Methamphetamine, and possession with intent to distribute Schedule III controlled substance. He was already in jail on charges from a burglary. His mother 43 year old Melinda Leday was charged with criminal conspiracy, furnishing contraband to inmates, and possession of Heroin and is currently on bond for weapon and drug charges. Joshua’s sister 18 year old Lindsey Leday was also charged with conspiracy. All three are expected to appear in front of a judge today.
