Sen. Lindsey Graham Facing Backlash for Supporting Swift Supreme Court Nomination

Senator Lindsey Graham is facing backlash after saying he would “lead the charge” in confirming the next Supreme Court justice. The 65-year-old wrote a letter to Senate Democrats detailing his intentions to quickly fill the seat left vacant only a few days ago. This is despite the fact he previously asked the public to hold him to his vow to bar future presidents from nominating a justice in the midst of an election year. However, Graham said everything changed after Justice Brett Kavanaugh’s trials and he won’t allow the public to bully him into changing his mind. Last night, dozens of protesters gathered outside his home and kept him awake with chanting, loud noises, and bright lights.
