Myrtle Beach Leaders Brace for Possible Impacts by Coronavirus
Myrtle Beach city leaders are preparing for the possible impacts of the coronavirus. A press release confirmed the city is continuously monitoring the situation. They’ve reviewed response plans for an outbreak and are prepared to act quickly in order to maintain the public’s safety. While the possibility of an outbreak is low, the possible impact the virus could have on local tourism this summer season is a major concern. While travel between the states has not lessened, already people from overseas have cancelled air trips and cruises. The Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce says it’s still too early to tell how seriously the Grand Strand will be impacted.
