Coronavirus Continues to Spread in U.S.

The number of people infected with the novel coronavirus in the U.S. has now surpassed 100 with six total deaths. A nursing home in Seattle is experiencing one of the worst outbreaks the U.S. has seen so far with more than 50 residents and staff experiencing symptoms. Four deaths have occurred at this site alone. The Life Care Center in Kirkland has been placed under quarantine and everyone is being monitored closely. It’s still unclear how the outbreak occurred there. Along with the residents and staff of the care center, 27 firefighters and two police officers in Kirkland are also in quarantine following this outbreak. The FDA has confirmed that by the end of the week, up to a million people could be tested for coronavirus. However, we won’t know those exact numbers as the CDC has been barred from keeping live updates of the number of people who have been tested. Twitter has also encouraged it’s employees worldwide to work from home if they can.
