Thousands Mourn 6-Year-Old Faye Swetlik Over Weekend
The memorial service for six-year-old Faye Swetlik drew hundreds on Friday evening. The service, which took place at Trinity Baptist Worship Center, was entirely filled with colors of purple and pink. A eulogy given by a pastor for Faye’s mother said that she wants everyone to love more and to “always have a Faye day.” Home footage was also shown of Faye doing the things she loved most like performing and playing. The #RocksForFaye art project also helped to keep Faye’s memory alive worldwide this weekend. It’s believed some 4,000 people, some as far away as Australia and Europe, participated in painting rocks and placing them throughout their communities for others to find and appreciate.
