Seven Arrested for Prostitution at Derriere’s Gentlemen’s Club

Police are investigating a gentlemens’ club in Myrtle Beach following the arrest of seven people. The Derriere’s Gentlemen’s Club on Seaboard Street was believed to be openly operating as a brothel. A shooting that occurred at the club on January 1st led police to uncover more than “200 acts of apparent prostitution” that involved multiple employees, either as participants or facilitators. A search warrant resulted in the arrests of the seven people who all together face 131 counts of prostitution. 62-year-old Joseph Hargadon faces the most charges with 61 counts. Additional charges are likely, especially after police discovered the club failed to immediately report the shooting and attempted to clean the scene before officers arrived. Bond was set for each suspect at $464 per count.
