Protests into riots
Anti-Trump protests continue across America; Trump calls for action from Obama, Clinton
(CNN) – Rallies against president-elect Donald Trump continued across the nation for the second night in a row.
Police say that protests in Portland, Oregon got out of hand, tweeting that rallies turned into riots Friday morning. The tweet said that someone threw projectiles at officers and damaged some cars. At one point, police announced “everyone” would be under arrest…and used tear gas to try and break up the group.
Nearly 30 protesters actually ended up in cuffs, according to a tweet from Portland police. Anti-Trump rallies were also held in Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Denver, Minneapolis and Oakland, California, but most of the protests in those cities have been peaceful.
