President and Michelle Obama take on Donald Trump
The President and the First Lady are denouncing Donald trump in strong terms. Michelle Obama became emotional while addressing recent accusations of sexual assault and lewd comments against the republican candidate.
“It’s not something we can just sweep under the rug as just another disturbing footnote in a sad election season. Because this was not just a lewd conversation. This wasn’t just locker room banter. This was a powerful individual speaking freely and openly about sexually predatory behavior. And actually bragging about kissing and groping women,” said Michelle Obama at a campaign rally for Hillary Clinton in New Hampshire on Thursday.
The First Lady never addressed Trump by name, referring to him only as a “candidate, going on to say, “I can’t believe I’m saying a candidate for President of the United States has bragged about sexually assaulting women.”
Meanwhile, President Obama spoke at the Ohio Democratic Party’s annual state dinner on Thursday, criticizing Trump and the Republican Party saying, “you [the Republican Party] claim the mantle of the party of family values, and this is the guy you nominate?”
