Charlotte, NC – Sales Support Specialist

Position overview The function of the sales support specialist is to assist and support the management and account executives of a multi-media advertising sales department. Responsibilities Primary duties include assisting the local and national sales team on order entry, contract maintenance, weekly posts, make-goods, spot times and resolution of discrepancies. The sales support specialist will also offer support for digital sales initiatives as needed. Additional duties include, but are not limited to, assistance with package and presentation creation, execution of promotional campaigns for station entities including WCCB-TV, MeTV, Antenna TV and The sales support specialist will act as a substitute in the station‘s traffic department to edit station logs and provide commercial continuity. Requirements The ideal candidate will possess the ability to prioritize workflow, be self-motivated, and work with minimal supervision to resolve conflicts. Candidate must have excellent organizational and interpersonal communication skills, the capability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced sales environment, and be a team player. Hands-on knowledge of traffic systems and ratings/proposal applications required, preferably Wide Orbit. Working knowledge of web and social media platforms preferred. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Marketing or related degree a plus.
