Temporary Restraining Order Against Panthers’ Greg Hardy Dismissed

CHARLOTTE, N.C. —  New details are emerging in the assault case against Carolina Panthers’ Greg Hardy.  

The accuser, Nichole Holder, did not show up for a court hearing in reference to her request for a temporary restraining order against Hardy.  A judge dismissed the request since she was not in court.  

Documents released in the case claim the argument early Tuesday morning happened because of Holder’s former relationship with rapper Nelly.  

Holder claims she had a relationship with the entertainer and part owner of the Charlotte Bobcats after Holder and Hardy broke up in March.  In the documents, Holder says her and Hardy were trying to work things out in their relationship.

Even though the temporary restraining order was dismissed, the judge still required Hardy to turn over all his weapons.  Documents claim Hardy had dozens of guns in his home when the assault happened.  

Also during the court hearing, Holder’s attorney, Stephen Goodwin, asked the judge to be dismissed from the case.  He said it was due to irreconcilable differences between him and the defendant.
