The Charlotte Police Department is investigating after shots rang out at a shopping mall.

The search is out for a suspect in Charlotte after shots were fired outside a crowded mall on Labor Day. Hermine Hits

Hurricane Hermine has made landfall.

Strong winds and heavy rain, and minor flooding marked the arrival of Hurricane Hermine along Florida’s Gulf Coast. The storm made landfall overnight as a Category One hurricane but was downgraded back to a tropical storm several hours later. Several states are expected to be impacted by Hermine, including the Carolinas later today and the Northeast on Saturday.

Demolition’s Aftermath

The death toll from the devastating earthquake in Italy rises some more.

  As rescue crews dig through the rubble, survivors are steeling into a shaky aftermath. Following last week’s 6.2 magnitude earthquake that struck central Italy, thousands have been displaced. 290 have been killed. Indiana Twisters

Dozens of severe storms hit the Northwest on Wednesday, with at least eight confirmed tornadoes.

  The National Weather Service has confirmed  a massive EF3 tornado, measuring approximately three-hundred yards wide that traveled five miles leveling sections of the city of Kokomo, Indiana over the course of ten minutes Wednesday. Quake Takes its Toll

The death toll from the earthquake in Central Italy is now more than 200.

  The devastation from the 6.2 magnitude that struck Central Italy Wednesday continues to rise as the death toll skyrockets. 247 are now confirmed dead. Rescue crews are still frantically digging through the rubble to find trapped survivors as aftershocks remain in the region.

At least eleven people are dead amid the rubble after a six-point-two earthquake.

Rescue efforts are currently underway in several Italian towns after an earthquake struck Central Italy.
