Preparing for Tropical Trouble

Florida gets ready for severe weather as Tropical Depression Nine inches closer to shore.

Hurricane season is ramping up as multiple tropical systems are churning in both the Atlantic and Pacific oceans. Tropical Depression Nine is still in the middle of the Gulf of Mexico, and is expected to turn towards the panhandle later as it develops into a tropical storm. The storm is foretasted to cross the state and curve up the East Coast towards North Carolina, where the beaches are already seeing stronger waves and currents from Tropical Storm Eight, another system off the coast to the East. Meanwhile, in the Pacific, Hurricane Madeline may take a pas over the big island of Hawaii.
