Two Dead, Three Injured During Crash on I-95 Near Florence County

Two people are dead and three others are injured after a crash on I-95 near mile marker 170 in Florence County on Tuesday night. According to Master Trooper Brian Lee, two tractor-trailers, a Dodge Journey and a Toyota Camry were slowing down on the interstate due to a previous collision and collided with each other. The driver of the Dodge and Toyota passed away and the two other drivers along with a passenger in one of the trucks were taken to a local hospital. The crash is under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol and the multi-disciplinary accident investigation team. Names of the victims will be released at a later time.
