Defense Rests in Trial for Ahmaud Arbery
Attorneys are now set to begin their closing arguments on Monday.
After presenting their case for two days, the defense teams for the three men accused in Ahmaud Arbery’s killing have rested. This comes after more than 20 witnesses and investigators took the stand over 10 days. Attorneys are now set to begin their closing arguments on Monday. Arbery was shot in a Georgia neighborhood in February 2020 after being pursued by the defendants in their vehicles. Travis McMichael, who shot and killed Arbery, his father Gregory McMichael; and their neighbor William Bryan Jr. are charged with malice and felony murder.
